Regional Planning Commission Makes Plans To Grow

The Regional Planning  Commission of Greater Birmingham recently selected Business Electronics Corp as a new vendor for their new Lanier LD645 Color System.  This will produce great looking documents and improve communication with their constituents.  

The Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham (RPCGB) provides planning services, economic development services and multiple initiatives for six counties and 84 communities throughout central Alabama. Annual dues provided by the member governments of these counties and communities make it possible for the RPCGB to provide valuable resources. These services and initiatives are innovative and far-reaching.

The Commission works through a consultation process with local governments, citizens, non-profits and the private sector in Blount, Chilton, Jefferson, St. Clair, Shelby and Walker counties. Smith Scholarship Foundation

Smith Scholarship Foundation foundation is designed to fund college scholarships for deserving students throughout Alabama.  Funding is made possible through this educational scholarship fund designated for Alabama’s children-especially those who are the first in their families to attend college. The foundation was created by Mignon C. Smith in honor of her parents. Her father, J. Craig Smith, was President and CEO of Avondale Mills, that was  a hallmark of the textile industry.
