Local Involvement

At Business Electronics we are committed to working to benefit the community we serve through volunteering, workplace giving, nonprofit board service and financial contributions.  Being a good corporate citizen means actively playing a role in the community and this is why so many of our employees are involved in local civic organizations.

American Cancer Society

For 100 years the American Cancer Society has been leading the way to transform cancer from deadly to preventable.  From research and grants or direct care and counseling for victims of cancer there are a myriad of ways that this organization shows its leading role as a non-profit health organization.  We participate in fundraisers such as Relay for Life and provide board service for the American Cancer Society.  Learn more about the organization at www.cancer.org

Alabama Sports Hall of Fame

The purpose of the ASHOF is to honor, preserve and perpetuate the names, deeds and records of those, living and dead, who by achievement or service, have brought lasting fame and honor to the State of Alabama and to themselves through their outstanding accomplishments.  Business Electronics is pleased to support the fine work of this great organization and more information about their programs is available at www.ashof.org

Episcopal Place

Nestled among the homes, parks and businesses of Birmingham’s Southside, Episcopal Place offers affordable, independent living at its best.  Their unique partnership between government, the faith community and the non-profit sector allows Episcopal Place to meet the needs of today’s seniors and disabled adults who want to age at home and remain independent for as long as possible.  Business Electronics supports Episcopal Place primarily through participation and sponsorship of its annual fundraiser, Gumbo Gala.  There is more information about Gumbo Gala and the organization at www.episcopalplace.org

Camp Smile-A-Mile

Camp Smile-A-Mile’s mission is to provide year round challenging, unforgettable recreational and educational experiences for young cancer patients, their families as well as young adult survivors from Alabama at no cost to the families. Our purpose is to provide these patients, families and survivors with avenues for fellowship, to help them cope with their disease, and to prepare them for life after cancer.   Business Electronics has been a partner with Camp SAM for many years in support of its mission.  The Camp SAM website is www.campsam.org

Local Schools

The future is best viewed through our local schools and the leaders in business, government and our communities that are developing within them.  Business Electronics supports our local schools with financial and in-kind donations.

Red Mountain Theatre Company

RMTC is a non-profit professional theatre organization with an emphasis on musical theatre. RMTC provides unique educational, training and performing opportunities for aspiring and culturally diverse artists, while growing new and existing audiences through quality theatrical experiences.  Business Electronics supports RMTC with board service and operational issues.  Learn more about the success of RMTC at www.redmountaintheatre.org

Many additional sponsored organizations benefit from the support and participation of our people.  We are grateful for the opportunity to assist many worthwhile organizations that are doing great things for the communities where our customers live, work and play.
